• “Featuring strong lines and graphic motifs, Ziri is a crescent-shaped shawl knitted with three colours of fingering weight yarn. The geometric border is created first and worked tip-to-tip, which features a shaped zig-zag edge, contrast colour pintucks, and tactile bobbles. The long straight edge of the border is then picked up for the main body of the shawl, and a mosaic colourwork band is knitted using two colour slip-stitch. The remainder of the body is knitted with short-row shaping and a final slip-stitch detail before binding off. The shawls finishing touches include duplicate stitch embroidery around the borders bobble stitches and tassels which adorn the borders edging.” Florence Spurling

  100g of MC, and 50g each of CC1and CC2- as required for the pattern. (Shown in Kit A.)

  (Note that this is the exact yarn requirement for this pattern, although Florence has added a 15% buffer to yardage in her written pattern for anyone using alternative yarns.Weadvise tomake your gauge swatches in the contrast colours so that it doesn’t eat into the MC. If you are super worried about running out, add an extra skein of the Main Colour.)

  3.5mm crochet hook (if making bobble stitches with the Crochet Hook Method) 2 stitch markers
  Tapestry needle for duplicate stitch and weaving in ends

  Gauge:

  23 sts and 35 rows = 10cm / 4 in Stockinette Stitch after blocking.
