A terrific project to experience folk embroidery, the Vlachernai Peacocks cross stitch kit is a gloriously regal design featuring jewel-toned peacocks, a symbol of renewal and rebirth frequently seen in Byzantine art, especially decorations used at the imperial palace of Vlachernai in Constantinople. This kit includes an embroidery hoop, DMC floss, a needle, and everythign else you need to create a beautiful finished project.
