Super Stripey Spun Beanie

The Super Stripey Spun Beanies 2-color version yields one hat with an (optional) pompom, while the 5-color version yields 2 hats (but be careful to alter your stripe sequence). It may also be made in a solid color, using 250 yards of any fingering- or sport-weight yarn that gives you the required gauge.
YARN: Fibre Co. Amble Minis (70 percent Easy-wash Merino, 20 percent Easy-wash alpaca, 10 percent nylon; 88yd per 50g skein), in Appleby Castle (C1) Isel (C2), Blackbeck (C3), Seawall (C4), and Buttermere (C5), 1 skein each color (for 5-color version); in Appleby Castle (C1) and Heathland (C2); 2 skeins C1 and 1 skein C2 (for 2-color version)
NEEDLES: US Size 3/3.25mm, 16 circular, and US 3/3.25mm, dpns, or size needed to achieve gauge
SIZE: 18/46cm diameter (fits a 21-23/53-58cm head) OR 20/51cm diameter (fits 24-26/61-66cm head)
GAUGE: 30 sts and 44 rows is 4 in stockinette
