From Meg: Our Organic Merino Sport yarn has been sourced from shepherds that have pledged to farm using sustainable and cruelty free practices. Our certified organic yarn comes from a small selection of South American herds that are allowed to graze in open pesticide free pastures, are fed a hormone and antibiotic free diet and are not subjected to external pesticide treatment. This superfine, non-superwash wool knits up beautifully with a slight ethereal halo with next to skin softness making it perfect for a wide range of projects including sweaters, shawls, hats, and more.

Each skein will vary in saturation and speckling, even if they are from the same dye batch. This is what makes hand dyed yarn so unique and special. If creating a project requiring multiple skeins of the same color, always rotate your skeins every few rows for a seamless blend of color. – Meg

Care

Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool safe detergent such as Eucalan. Lay flat to dry. It is normal for some color to bleed from hand dyed yarns when washed for the first time; cold water will help to prevent bleeding. – Meg
