Our Making Tracks yarn is a variegated blend of fine Merino, Targhee, and Corriedale wool from flocks in Idaho to western South Dakota. Scoured and combed at Chargeurs, it is hand-dyed, pin-drafted, spun, and finished at our mill. Proudly 100% American-grown and produced, this non-superwashed, non-mulesed yarn pairs beautifully with solid colors or can be used on its own for gradual color shifts.
We love this yarn paired with Brown Sheep NatureSpun Sport!
We are delighted to partner with our neighbors at Junction Fiber Mill to add this Sport weight yarn to our Making Tracks yarn line. Making Tracks LITE has the same quality construction as the Making Tracks 2ply DK weight, but Making Tracks LITE is spun to a Sport weight.
Making Tracks is a variegated blend of fine Merino, Targhee, and Corriedale wool from flocks in Idaho to western South Dakota. It is scoured and combed and then on to Junction Fiber Mill in White River Junction, VT where it is hand-dyed, pin-drafted, spun, and finished. 100% American-grown and produced, this non-superwashed, non-mulesed yarn pairs beautifully with solid colors like our Farm Fresh line for stunning colorwork or can be used on its own for gradual color shifts.
*Please note that these are small batch dyed by Junction Fiber Mill and each skein is unique. You will see color variation between skeins. Photos may show multiple skeins to show color variation; each purchase includes one skein/ball. Some dyes are notoriously difficult to set and may exhaust some color even after their final wash at the mill. We recommend steam blocking when working with contrasting colors. Wash your finished knits in cold water only with a no-rinse wool wash.
