I would recommend crocheting in the ends as you work , you change colour on every row so there are a lot of them!

4.0mm crochet hook (I crochet quite loosely, so use 4.5mm if you prefer)

19 sts x 38 rows = 10cm (4″) in patt on 5mm needles
