Mota was developedwith the aim ofsupporting small wool producers and native Spanish breeds, as a collaboration with several Spanish ranching families. Each contributing the finest their flock had to offer in order to produce this very special yarn. Made entirely in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, it is named to honorWooldreamers’ roots in the town of Mota del Cuervo. Thanks to the proximity of the farms to their mill, Mota is produced with one of the smallest carbon footprints on the market!

The result is a soft and lofty 3 ply that is a “Z” twist worsted spun yarn. Most commercial yarn is “S” twist. Read more about twist direction in our Glossary of Yarn Terms.

Wooldreamers is the dream of Ramn, a Spanish man eager to share his love of natural fibers and especially the wools of Spain, the birthplace of Merino wool. He works to promote Spanish wool through sustainability, traceable sourcing, animal welfare, social responsibility, and delicious yarn.
