From the popular book, Knitted Kalevala, we’ve put together a yarn set for these cozy Suolaulu Mittens knit with Rauma Finullgarn. These beautiful mittens begin with a long, ribbed cuff, which can be folded. We’ve included enough yarn to knit the mitten as designed butthe pattern also suggests you could easily turn them into fingerless mitts if that’s your preference!

• 2-3x 50g balls ofFinullgarn (number of balls is dependent on the size you select)
• The Woolly Thistle Tote Bag
• Stitch Marker
• Knitted Kalevala book (optional*)

As always, it is important to manage gauge to ensure you will have enough yarn. If you are worried you can purchase an extra skein of the main color.

NEEDLES
US 4 / 3.5 mm DPNs for Stockinette Stitch and colourwork, US 2.5 / 3 mm DPNs for ribbing. Or size to get gauge. The instructions are given for DPNs but you can also use 3240 / 80100 cm circular needles and use the Magic Loop Method.

GAUGE
26 sts x 30 rnds = 4 x 4 / 10 x 10 cm with US 4 / 3.5 mm needles in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking.
